omni_vorous, just chewing the cud

Only “Awsum!”? So stupid.

I mean, like, you know.. Huh, ok ok… communication is… I mean you know, right? Look, it’s all about telling the other guy what you want to tell. Got that? Awsum!

What’s wrong with the way so many young people communicate?
Why is their vocabulary limited to ‘awsum!’, ‘too much’, ‘fab’, ‘like’, ‘awsum!’, ‘sh**!’,’****!’, ‘awsum!’?
Why do they think lyrics like “pani, pani, pani, pani, pani, pani ..”, or the mindless chatter on FM radio is, yeah right, awsum?
What prevents them from running a basic spell check on their emails, posts and rants?
Why do they believe that ‘well-read’ means all their posts are ‘liked’ by all their FB friends? And that an emoticon which means a hundred different things to a hundred different people, conveys the exact meaning they have in mind to the exact person they are writing to?
Many of us were taught to be precise in our communication, clear in speech, mindful of the sensibilities of the listener/reader/viewer.
Being vague and imprecise made one vulnerable.
I mean, how many times can you keep saying, “Like, you know, huh, I didn’t mean that… “?
